This Preparation Course is a training program designed to develop and consolidate the linguistic competences assessed in the TOEFL ITP, and/or the Examen General de Habilidades de Idioma Inglés from UAN, with an emphasis on optimizing test performance through targeted strategies, practice with authentic materials, and timed simulations. The course is structured to address three skill areas evaluated: Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension. An optional Speaking module is included to enhance communicative proficiency for learners intending to pursue further English language qualifications that require oral production.
Through a modular approach, participants will acquire test-taking techniques specific to each section of the exam, including rapid response strategies for short conversations, inference and detail identification in extended dialogues and academic talks, grammatical accuracy and error recognition in written structures, and effective reading comprehension skills for academic texts. The curriculum integrates progressive skill-building exercises, vocabulary development, and continuous assessment to monitor individual progress.
The program begins with a diagnostic assessment to determine the participant’s baseline proficiency, followed by sequenced instructional modules, and concludes with a full-length practice test under exam conditions. Instructional materials are based on authentic sources, ensuring alignment with the test’s format, content specifications, and time constraints. By the end of the course, participants will have developed the linguistic accuracy, receptive skills, and strategic competence required to achieve a competitive score in the chosen instrument.
